Embark on your therapeutic journey with Daniel Otero, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist boasting a decade of expertise. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation from Texas State University, his academic foundation complements 20 years of aquatic and recreation programming experience.
Daniel held pivotal roles such as Program Associate with Special Olympics Texas and with the Division of Recreational Sport for the University of Texas at Austin, Health & Safety Director for the Texas Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross, and Aquatic Director at the YMCA. Specializing in aiding individuals with developmental disabilities, Daniel's therapeutic approach integrates adventure-based therapy, outdoor recreation, adaptive sports, aquatic interventions, leisure education, and social/leisure skills development.
Beyond his professional pursuits, you'll find Daniel paddle boarding on Town Lake, hiking the Greenbelt, and swimming at Barton Springs Pool.
